Fax numbers for credit bureaus?

Subject: Fax numbers for credit bureaus?

I have a letter from a creditor that states they will remove a late pay from my reports but they haven't done so yet. In order to expidite the process I'd like to fax the credit bureaus directly. Anyone have numbers for them?

Once I send a fax to the bureaus do they have a time limit to respond or do they take care of it pretty quickly?

Hi Taryn,

Following are the three fax numbers for all the three credit bureaus:

Transunion: Fax number-610-546-4605 or 610-546-4758
Phone number (800) 888-4213.

Equifax: Fax number-888-664-4535 or 888-729-0083
Phone number (800) 685-1111

Experian:Phone number (888) 397-3742
Experian does not have a fax number, so you can contact them through the phone number given above.

I don't think there is any time limit within which the credit bureaus may reply.
