If you have a hard inquiry in your credit report, all you need to do is to send a letter to the inquirer asking them to verify that they have your authorization to pull out your credit report, and to remove the hard inquiry from your report, if they do not have the authorization. As per the Fair Credit Reporting Act only authorized hard inquiry should stay on your credit report. You can find sample letters if you visit the link letters of credit.
