Hi, I'm being sued by LVNB and I don't know this company. I'm a little bit scared. does anyone know the SOL in Texas? I believed the last pay I made was in 2004. can anyone help?

SOL for TX is four years...this means they have four years from date of last payment to file suit.

Hello Rosedavis,

Welcome to the forum. we are more than glad to have you here. Hope to see you often and get your problem solved.

Now lets come to the point. The SOL in Texas is 4 years.

If you have already received the summons in that case replying to the summon is very important. Go ahead and do that. Since when did they start contacting you? Did they immediately threaten to sue or did you have any verbal exchange with them?

Had you asked for debt validation? I am sure that is the first thing that is required when they say that you owe them. They are not the original creditors so go ahead with a debt validation. I am sure the professionals can tell you more. So wait for a better answer.

Contact your local Red Cross for a referral to the local Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS) in your area FYI: Anytime you enlorl in this or any debt management program .this will be noted in your credit file .While enlorling in a debt management program won't specifically damage your credit, it will greatly affect your ability to obtain new credit or to a new mortgage but then, that's the point of the program to keep you out of getting into more debt.References :
