i have creditors calling and harrasing me about somthing i dont owe.
i had ordered those magazines for $2.00 a month and never recieved them and then they had taken $200.00 out of my account and the funds were not there so now i owe the bank for overdrafting fees which i never knew i had so the intrist went all the way up to $197.68 what should i do i am not intitled to pay for something i never agreed

Did you give them your account number when you got the subscription? Surely a person would think that they would have sent a few past due notices by mail before this. I would call them and tell them you have not recieved any of the magazines you were promised. What I can't figure out is what magazine is worth $200. Maybe a simple phone call can clear this up and get you a refund. I find it doubtful but hopefully it will.
The next step I would take is letting my bank know that there should not be any withdrawal of funds fro your account unless approved by you from this point on.

I would file a dispute at your bank and you can get your money back that way. I have done it, it takes about three weeks, just go to your bank and ask for the dispute forms. You will need the transaction date and amount and other details which your bank can pull from their records.

I would also call this company and let them know that you did not agree to this and that you never recieved any products from their company and that they need to stop debiting your account. goodluck and keep us updated.

Hi guest
Since you never received the magazine and in spite of that, they have debited 200$ from your account, you can sue them because they will not be able to produce proof to the court that they have delivered you the magazine. I cannot understand how they can take money out of your account. But as far as I know if it is not the fault of the bank, you need to pay the fees for overdraft. You may have a talk with your bank regarding this.

I am glad GN that you stepped in here. Myself I haven't had to deal with this. I was just wondering how the magazine company came up with the bak account info. The dispute process should help get the money back but I doubt it will include the overdraft fees Guest talks about. They may have to fight the company for those.

I think that you might have provided your bank information while you applied for the magazine. But now since it has already been paid from the bank account, you need to pay it, else the bank may send it to collections who in turn may list it in your credit report. Once it gets listed in your credit report, it will remain there for seven years and may lower your credit score. However, if it is already listed in your credit report, you should negotiate for pay for deletion before paying it off.

It sucks when a company takes advantage of the little guy like this. I will not give ut any olf my banking info. I have seen this happen way to many times. I have even heard of them taking more than they agreed on. If they want you to buy their product that bad my theory is they can wait until the postman delivers the payment.
