Subject: Unique National Collections

I need some assistance, please! After reviewing my free yearly credit report, I noticed Unique National Collections placed something negative on my credit report. It states ""Free Library" "books-$120.00". I have no knowledge of this account, nor have I ever went and borrowed books from a library. The only time I ever went to a library was 20 years ago in college. (I am in my early 40's) The date appears to read 04/2004. I am told this will be on my credit report until 11/2010! This is so unfair!!! It is the only negative account on my credit report. I tried to get a contact number or address to Unique Collections to fight this, but was unsuccessful! How do I go about fighting this dispute when there is no one to be reach. I do, however, have an account number.

I appreciate any advice you can give me!

Much obliged,
Suz Confused

Have you tried to disputing the claim on your credit report, you can do this electronically on any of the three web pages that have the reports on them.
