The reports I get from the three reporting agencies vary. Is it necessary to bring this matter to their attention or should I leave it alone? Will the differences in the reports effect my scores?

Hi mustwin, Yes all 3 different agencies all report different kind of scores and stuff. The median score on all of them will be sometimes very close or sometimes quite a few points off. The information that all post on your credit should be the same if not please contact them as soon as possible. As far as the fico score they will always vary from each one.

Yes, there are some creditors who do not report the debt to all the three bureaus and so the listings in the three credit report may not be the same. Now, since the FICO score depends upon your credit report, your FICO score may vary from one bureaus to another.

Hi mustwin.

The credit scores also differ because, the three major credit bureaus, have minor variations in the FICO Scoring model. Each of them, also assign different points to each item on your credit report.

Not all creditors and collection agencies report your credit information to the same credit bureau. Therefore, the credit score you get from Experian may differ from what you receive from Equifax. Besides, your credit scores changes from time to time based on the credit transactions you go through. So, make sure that your creditors update the bureaus with your latest credit details.
