Getting a car after bankrupcy

I just checked my credit today and my score is a 690 from transunion and a 740 from equifax. I had a bankkrupcy discharged last April so it has been a year. With this credit score, will I be able to get a loan for a car or will they take the banakrupcy into account over the credit score?

Hi Lynn,

With a credit score around 690 and 740, you will definitely qualify for a car loan. 690-740 is a good credit score range. However, with score above 780, you can qualify for the lowest rates available. Thus, if you have time, you can try to improve your score, so that you get loan with lowest interest rates.

Thanks,

Aaron

You can get a car loan on almost any kind of credit because they make more money on bad credit. frankly cars are money pits. borrow as little as possible.

I have this whole rant where cars are ruining people. i will save you from that, but spend as little as possible.
