I would write each of them and let them know that it is well past the date, you can file a dispute on line. But I have found it more effective to call them, things seem to happen alot quicker that way and I have gotten more positive results. Just recently had something removed.

YOu can find the phone numbers for each of the reporting agencies on their web pages, just google credit reporting agencies, there are three. Transunion, equifax and experian. Goodluck hope you get this all straightened out.

Bankruptcy stays in your credit report for seven to ten years from the date it has been discharged, after which it gets automatically removed by the credit bureaus. If you bankruptcy is still in your credit report and 12 years has expired, you can send a dispute letter to the bureaus and ask them to remove it from your credit report. You can just send the proof of the discharged bankruptcy along with the dispute letter to the credit bureaus.

Panther express, just a short note here. A bankruptsy is one of the worst things to have on your report. Although it may not have much of an effect at this point on your credit score other lenders will be able to see you at one time filed for bankruptsy. I would start the dletion process or dispute process as soon as possible to get this mark removed. With its age you should have no trouble getting this done. This is also why it ia wise to use your three free pulls you get it year and monitor your report for any errors.

You need not send a copy of the credit report along with the dispute letter. Just send the dispute letter to the bureaus by certified mail informing them about the date of your discharged bankruptcy and it will get automatically removed from your report. If the bureaus do not remove them from your report, you may file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission by visiting their website.
