Incomplete Account #s

I notice when I look at my credit report all of my account #s are incomplete (i.e. Acct # 1234XXXXXXX) Can I write the letters to the CA with just my name or do I need to research the full account #?

Hi Guest,

You need to provide the complete account number while sending letters to the collection agencies. Request your creditors or the collection agencies to update your accounts. Dispute any wrong items on your credit report. Send dispute letters to the credit bureaus so as to remove wrong listings from your credit report.

I don't agree.

copy the whole tradeline and paste it in your letter to the CA. if they can't find the records then the CRA must delete
