Hi, i was referred in the credit magic form to a link to annualcreditreport.com, there they said they will provide me with a free credit report for me to view online, there i entered my social security # and all the information, but i didn't any credit report. i am afraid the site is a scam and they will use my information for identity theft, and fraudilant purposes.
Can anyone help me or give me any advice. Thank you.

No it really is not a scam I went there for the very first time I ever read my report. I have actually printed two of my three free reports from there. Log back on to that site and Gosh I can not remember but somewhere there you should be able to chose which report you would like to review. You will have 30 days to keep veiwing the report then not any after that time expires. Make sure you print your report for your records. It really is legitimate. It was goverment mandated that these three credit reporting agencies give you one free copy each of your credit report each calendar year. You will not see your score that id one thing they will want you to pay for.

Hi gargabel
The site annualcreditreport.com is not a scam. It may happen that do not have a credit history and so no report could be generated. There may also be some temporary problem with the site and so you could not see your report. However, you can login back to the site and check it again. I think you can find it out if you have any credit report. It is a legal site and recognized by the Federal Government and so there is no chance of your ss number to get misused.

Good one Mary...I never considered someone not having a report but it definaltely makes sense. If it was a error in the site do you think that a message would have appeared?
