Hello. Ive recently applied for a buy to let mortgage but have been declined due to what i think is a miss leading mark on my record. I missed one payment on a loan in may 09. Thinking that it had been paid off i only found out recently that it hadn`t so each payment after that shows as a one each month on my credit rating as a late payment. I pay my mortgage and loan on time each time and was not written to stating I was behind there after. The mortgage lender is reading this as ive either totally neglected to pay or I`m in arrears and failed to do anything about it. The loan amount in question is around 40 pounds per month. The arrears has now been cleared. The mortgage company has given us a shed of hope if we can get letter from mortgage company cofirming this, however my current mortgage lender will not submit a letter as they say it self explanatory. Please can someone help me.

do you have all your credit reports?
what state are you in?
what is the original creditor
what is the date of first delinquency?

Are you in the UK? because I don't know much about UK law.

Hi Thanks for the response. I`m living in the uk. Have two credit reports and both state the same thing and also say satisfactory. Not too sure what you mean by original creditor, but the loan is with my building society.

of course I didn't mean hire an attorney. I meant this form discusses us credit law and we don't know anything about uk credit reporting. if you find one let me know because you are not the first.
