Subject: What is the Best Credit Monitoring Service and why?

I am about to sign up with a credit monitoring company but don't know which would be the best. I want My Fico, but they only do Ex and Trans. Which would you consider the second best.

Hi Derrick,
Before registering with a monitoring service you need to check whether or not the company is accredited by the Better Business Bureau, whether or not it is a non profit company.
However, rather than joining a credit monitoring service, you yourself can handle your credit for free. Pull a copy of your credit report from www.annualcreditreport.com . Check it thoroughly and check if there are any mistakes. If there are, you can dispute those with the credit bureaus.
If there are any negative listings, like delinquencies, you can try to go current on these accounts. To improve your credit score, you can get a secured credit card. Make small purchases on this card, and then make on-time payments.

Thanks Aaron,......are there any specific secured credit cards that you know of that are great to get. I was thinking about Bank of America but not sure.

Credit monitoring services sound like a foolproof way to insure your credit's health. I also found Forgo Credit Monitoring Services is good .

Hi Derrick,
The best credit card will be the one with low APR, no fees on balance transfer, and has a fixed interest rate rather than variable. Through googling you will be able to compare among various cards available in the market.

| I use Creditreport.com to get my credit report and I think this is the best option for you also. You can try it; surely you will find it best for credit monitoring. |

| I use mycreditkeeper.com I have used a lot of sites in the past but i have found that mycreditkeeper.com is the best BANG for your BUCK. It’s free for 30 days and they only charge 9.99 a month there after! I have all my clients @ kraftycreditsolutions.com use this site to monitor and watch their scores. They do a update on their scores and report every 30 days. They also have a great score tracker that pops up right when you log in. so you can watch your scores go up each month! |
