| how do I remove inquiries from my credit report? I was uneducated and applied a lot for credit. Now I am cleaning my report up and need to remove them. I feel that two years is to long. What can I do? I have a score of 563. I want it to be 700+ what can I do? I have multiple collections ($1500 worth)and now have the money to pay them off. What is the best way to do that? I am active duty Army and feel ashamed that I have such poor credit. I am ready and have been working on it and need your help. |

t is not possible to remove hard inquiries from your credit report before 2 years if it is a legitimate entry in your report. However, you can remove the collection listings from your credit report by negotiating with the collection agencies for pay for deletion agreement. If the creditor agrees to the PFD agreement, then as soon as you pay off the debt in full, the collection listing will get removed from your report and your credit score will improve. _________________ Keep in touch

Yes, I think that Carol is right. However, before you make any payment towards the debt, you should send a debt validation letter to the collection agencies to be sure whether you actually owe them the debt or not. The collection agencies must provide you with a copy of your original loan agreement, the proof that they have purchased the debt from the OC and the details of the outstanding bills as a proper debt validation. _________________ All the Best
