No improvement in my credit score after deleting items.

I just had 3 items deleted from my credit report. I was just notified today that they were deleted. I check my credit score today to see if this has improved my credit score..unfortunately it didn't change, not even a point. But the accounts were deleted.
Does it take some time to change the score after deleting or will this really do nothing to improve my score?

The best thing for you to check your credit score report and visit each of the credit reporting agencies website, pull the customer service number and give them a call. Always try to check 3 credit score from the 3 credit bureaus. I recently had to make a call to transunion, was very surprised on their willingness to help me, filed a dispute by phone and actually won, it got deleted. You should be able to get the information that you seek from a live person if you pull those phone numbers and call. Goodluck, hope all works out, keep us updated.

Experian did the deleting. I received the notice that they were deleting these 3 items.
Of course I have to deal with the other 2 still but they all have their own scores.

My Experian score did not change. Will it? Do you know how to fix credit score?

Yes, after the negative item gets removed from your credit report, your credit score will definitely improve. It may take some time to get your credit score updated, probably a month or so. That's why keep checking your credit rating score always. In the meanwhile if the negative item gets removed from the other two reports, your FICO score for all the three bureaus will improve.

Thanks Scott.
That makes me feel better :)

I'll definitely be notifying the other 2 and from now on words I'll always go through my annual credit report to get my credit score.

I've never had a credit card.
The majority of my debts have been unpaid medical bills.

On one hand it's good I don't have to worry about a credit card but then again it would help to build my credit I would think. I'm unable to get one at this point though. The only cards I can get are the ones you have to pay for. Those don't make sense to me so I won't be going that route.

I have one solid account. That's my car payment. I have never been late in almost 3 years. My mom had to cosign and I'm glad she did. Otherwise I wouldn't have anything to show.

Jes, if these medical bills are fairly older sometimes you can call the hospitol and Docs office and they will be willing to settle for alot less just to get their money. If they are not too old there also is the option some hospitols have that actually use government programs to pay for the bills. Around here we have hillibuton at one hospitol and I care at another. Bith will help you fill out the necessary paperwork to apply to have these bills paid. Theya re income depending but most guidelines are fairly reasonable and will pay. Would this be an option for you?

I'm not sure. They have already been turned over to collection agencies.
I did deal with one of them recently and was able to pay them off and have some deleted.
The others are a different company. I don't know how that would work.

Are you making suer that these debts are being validated beofre paying them? I am not trying to get you a free ride but if they can not validate then you do not have to pay them and then once you dispute with the credit bureaus with the proof they will remove them from your report. So it's better to aware about your 3 credit scores and for this you will have to check your annual credit report. I would alos look at the dates of the debts and either inquire about a hospitol program or call the hosptiol directly and try settling up repayment arrangements. Good Luck.

The ones that I just paid and had deleted I did not have validated. At that time I did not know there was such a thing.
I've been looking over examples of validation letters and plan to do that with the remaining debts on my reports.

Debt validation is generally done to be sure whether the CA that claims the debt actually owns it. You should always ask for debt validation before you make any payment towards the debt and that too by certified mail. You can find sample debt validation letter if you visit the link letters of credit.

what helped me was to dispute any and all old items, most were deleted such as medical bills, anything that was left, i called the creditors and only agreed to pay if items were deleted upon payment! and it all worked out! good luck!

I had a poor credit score as low as 486, so I can’t condone the hardness of paying up my credit, as a matter of fact I just loosed my job recently, and this had caused a lot of irregularities in my life. Few months ago, I wanted a loan but It was turned down due to my poor credit score, I had tried many ways to do it on my own but all effort doesn't yield any result until I came accross captainspyhacker2 @gmail .com whom a lot had recommended. The recommendation I saw are all encouraging, I got in touch with him on phone (+1502-378-7817) and we discussed about the credit fix and the way forward, he promised to help and will be honest with me, I held his words and gave it a try, within three days my credit has been perfectly fixed, no more evictions, bad reports, repos, everything was done appropriately without any cause for alarm, my credit score was also boosted to a very much encouraging limit, I can’t express to you guys how much I’m happy now, I’m now the proud owner of a well furnished home in TEXAS. I'm so grateful Captain your service indeed work!
