Hi there. I'm still a little confused. I hope you can clarify or if you have advice. I have close to $15k in credit card debt. I have my own business, that has been suffering. My wife added my name to the title of our new home (I am not on the loan). What happens if I can not repay this debt? Can they put a lean on our home? thanks

I have a judgement that I am still trying to fight with a creditor over an old car loan. They have offered a settlement that I am trying to get down a little more. I am expecting a tax refund this year. Can the creditor take the refund before I even get it??

I received a notice that I did not appear in court and that it was in favor of the lender. Now my house is up for sheriff sale. I would have gladly gone to court and fight for my house. Who can I tell that I never received the summons

I received a letter from a "debt relief ageny" that a lawsuit from citibank was filed on Feb 10. I have not received a summons or any paperwork and I understand there is a time limit to respond. is it normal to take so long to serve me?? or are they trying to get a nofault judgement. Without this letter, I would have had no idea about a law suit.

I received a summons to appear in small claims court as I am being sued by a credit card for 2600.00Is it better I appear in court. I live on SSA and have about 1000.00 in my checking account. Ifa judgement is handed down can they garnish my socoal security disa bility benefit. I am legally blind and suffer from severe arthritis.It would be very dificult to get to the court house.
