Well...'ME'.........you're technically correct. You DIDN'T sign a contract with anyone else (I'm taking your word for it). LOTS of CA buy debts from other CA's and then tell the consumer we owe THEM. It's the CA's who buy the debts from other CA's and they really think we will pay the CA's (who continue to buy them)? Just curious, however. Have you looked on your CR for his debt? If its been over 4 years (the SOL in most states..may have to look at the SOL in the state where you live) no CA can legally sue you over the debt. If the debt is on your CR, all debts have a 'fall off' date..you may want to see what that is.

hello, I send a letter to progressive in which I am disputing a bill. they say that because I am legally married, they had to add my husband to the policy eventhough I never send them the information that they were requesting. the last letter they send clearly states that if I didn't send the info, they would not renew or would cancel the policy, they did not. instead they increased the fees. i called and cancelled. the next day they withdrew over six hundred dollars, we called our bank and they got it back. but now they say that I owe over two hundred for the two months that I used the insurance, assuming that he used the car. I got a warning collection note. I keep emailing progressive and they say to pay them or the ccs agency. I have not received the letter in which i state my reasons and have not received it back. I don't know much about law and stuff, can someone help?

I am getting phone calls from CCS regarding an insurance premium that I supposedly owe American Family. I'm told that I didn't pay them a premium for January thru March. Which I did not since my policy lapsed in December. I did not authorized them to continue my coverage nor did I say that I would "pay them later." I received a notice stating that my insurance had been cancelled since I had not paid them for the Jan - March time frame. Now they turn me into CCS for a non paid premium for that period of time. (I feel like I'm rambling) How can they continue coverage without my consent/signature, and then turn me into CCS for non payment.
They have done the same thing to my friends son.

I was told that this might not be on my credit report any more but I need proof, that it was actually removed from my credit report.

I won't be able to send any requests for payment until I have just few imple qusions answered:

1) What is the name, address, phone number and a contact name

2)How is Colorado able to legally send a debt to a third party requesting payment for something I have no recollection of purcasing

3) If the request is valid, I will pay this bill ASAP.

Thanking you in advance for your cooperation

I got a collection notice with my name on it stating I owe wells Fargo bank $313.24
I HAVE NEVER HAD A WELLS FARGO BANK ACCOUNT EVER!!
My X husband had a wells Fargo bank account for him self & himself ONLY!!!
(Meaning I was NOT on the account with him)
8 month's after we divorced.... (& YES it was officially finalized & filed) My X husband filed four bankruptcy. (just started the process with his attorney)
*His filing did not effect me in.
Has ANYONE had this happen to them??!!?
So anyways, I pulled up this website from Google to file a law suit against credit collection services for this fraudulent collection they placed under my name. & I will get paid out for their wrongful doing in my name.
I'm all for that!!
That's b.s. to put someone else's debt under my name & i was never ever an account holder what so ever with wells Fargo!
(No, not a joint account ever! Not me, myself, & I!)
