Subject: Collection Account Closed

Posted on Sun May 25, 2008 3:42 am

I finally received my letter from CCS notifying me that my account with them has been closed! Ya! As I said before if you don't owe the money don't pay. I called them about 20 times since my last post. They actually told me to stop calling them, which I throughly enjoyed hearing!

Best of luck to all of you dealing with this screwed up company! Don't give up and fight the good fight!

This is not a "fraudulent company". Basically if you owe money and do not pay the Company you received services from, they will place you into collections period! Yes, sometimes the Collection Agency’s “CLIENT” will place accounts in collections that have already been paid and or have the wrong information such as phone, address etc..But it is the Company that placed the account with the Collection Agency that gave the information in the first place. The Collection Agency will need to request documentation so they can help get you out of collections, I know that does not seem right, however think of how many people that really do owe the money try to get out of paying it by saying “I do not owe this”.

It is unfortunate that some people do go through what you all have as far as being placed into Collections when you do not owe the debt. Just provide the documentation and it will be over.
Is it also unfortunate that there are millions and millions and millions of people that REFUSE to pay back the money to the Companies that they basically STOLE from, and then try the “IT’S NOT ME” or “I DON’T OWE” excuse. Just so you know the real scums or frauds are these people that refuse to pay what they owe. If it was not for them, now there would be no need for collection agencies would there. CCS just does the job for the banks, Insurance Companies, Credit Card Companies, Stores where checks were bounced, Stealing Cable the list goes on and on of what these millions and millions of scums/frauds that refuse to pay what they owe, if I owned a business I would probably need to seek the service of a Collection agency also. As stated before if these scums would pay back what they stole there would be no need for collection agencies..

Scum means froth, crust, skim and in no way is a profane word. However that disgusting scum, froth or crust that gathers around the edge of a pot when you boil chicken is in my opinion a fitting dicription of all collection companies.

And what would you call the people that REFUSE to pay their bills??? Do any of you realize that before a debt goes to a collection agency, it usually is over a year old? So that means the original creditor (banks, insurance co., cable, bounced checks) has been trying to get their money from these dead beats for a year or sometimes even years. And do you realize the debt that these people REFUSE to PAY BACK, gets passed on to the consumer, you know the people that do pay the money they owe. I do not think that you are all mad at the Collection agencies, your mad that someone is "bothering" you to be responsible to pay back the services that you stole!! So why don’t you tell me who are the real SCUMBAGS!

Hi Sue
I would always prefer to pay back the debt in time. But what if due to some unavoidable circumstances I am not able to pay back my debt . It is not that we are not interested in paying back the debt, but these CA behave so unmannerly and more so even if we agree to pay back the debt most of them do not agree to PFD. Actually we are paying back the debt and so they should agree to PFD.

I agree that NO collection agency should behave unmannerly, and for that I agree with what most are saying here if that is happening to them. However it seems that the people on this website are forgetting how they got to collections in the first place, and really "WHO" placed them into collections. It is not as though the collection agency picked their name out of thin air, they were provided this information from the business that you owe the money to. And yes sometimes this info is wrong and the collection agency needs to ask for documentation to clear your name. As frustrating as this is, it is necessary as there are people that do try to just get out of paying. I mean really if you were in a high volume business that provided services and you are showing that you were not paid for that service, but this person states “I paid you”, would you request anything or just take their word for it? Also I am not sure what PFD means?

Subject: FAX Number??

Hello Matt,

Of all the posts I've read you seem to have gotten the furthest! Kudos to you! I've mailed my policy declaration to CSS - POB 9134 - Needham MA 02494 as they requested so they can see I that there was no lapse in my coverage and quit harassing me over $38. They are still calling me even after my Allstate Agent spoke with them and told me the issue was resolved. Needless to say I am at my wits end. Could you be so kind as to post the FAX number you received. It would be a great help to me and possible others. Thanks and congrats!

Subject: CCS took more than 2000 from my account

Posted on Thu Jul 31, 2008 1:32 pm

I had credit card with Citi Bank in 2006, they sold the account to NCFS collections in August, 2007, and they are claiming in trial for the money... but in September 2006 some body from CCS behalf Citi Bank call me with all my information and I paid them more than 2000. They used the 617 965 2000 phone and leave the tracks in my bank, I called them and they don't have records may be my lawyer will find the records.
