Ask credit questions ...I have been laid off from work for 18 months , My husband is getting social security, and i,am also. I pay into cobra, and not to long ago i went into the hospital the bill was over $14,000 I have been trying to send everyone what i can, but it is getting harder to pay my credit card bill. We own nothing. If we stop paying our credit card bills can they take his pension away? I realize they can not freeze our social security, or my unemployment. but can the take his pension? Should we stop having our checks put in the bank with direct deposit, or at less his pension check? Any advice you can give me will be help full. Thank You

Hi dragon.carol

I understand it is difficult for you to pay your bills being with earning from SS and pension. However, I would not suggest you to stop paying because, not only will you get sued for that by the creditor, it will also ruin your credit report and as a result your score. I would rather suggest that you speak with your creditor and explain your situation to him. Tell him why it is difficult for you to pay him the money and ask him for a loan modification.

Well, no creditor will be willing to go for a loan modification and will try to get the money out of you as soon as possible. But, be a little patient and try and convince the creditor. You may not be successful in your first attempt but keep making them (mind you do not irritate them, just try to put forth your situation). Tell them that even with your financial conditions you are trying very hard to pay them back.

Before you approach your creditors, draw a budget for yourselves. Gather your finances and calculate how much you need for yourself and how much you can afford to pay your lender each month. Based on this calculation make your offer to the creditor and do not default on that. If the lender agrees to modify your loan, then get everything in writing. Let us know if there is anything more that you would like to ask.

With the National Health Care passing through congress, doesn't it prohibit hospitals or collection agencies from attaching your SS or pensions?
I'm in the same predicament as the lady above. I was in the ER for about two hours and got a bill for thirteen thousand dollars. The doctor and radiologists billed me separately.
I asked them to send me an itemized bill for what all they did for me in those two hours. I've yet to hear from them.
I just don't have any money and don't know what I'll do if they start to take my pension away. If I start to work again, Social Security will take away some of my benefits.

I now see how and why older folks were so protective of their finances. I'm now one of them.

Thank you

John

Inside the Mariupol base of the questionable Azov battalion

The first thing you notice as you walk through the corridors of the Azov battalion's base in Mariupol are the swastikas.

there's a lot of painted on doors, enhancing the walls and chalked onto the blackboards of this former school, Now temporary head office for the Azov troops.

It is a facing sight and when I query the young soldier assigned to show me around he is quick to correct me, Pointing out that the symbol is actually a "revised swastika" more like the letter N crossed with a straight line.

When I point to the other symbol of the Third Reich etched on the wall, the battery life of Hitler's "ss, He only shrugs and says: "we have become nationalists, But we are not Nazis,

The Azov battalion is a highly suspect Ukrainian paramilitary group that has drawn much criticism for its links to the far right.

The imagery it has chosen to look at hardly helps to allay concerns, But for my young guide it's just a non issue.

"Some writers prefer to present us as Nazis. they are for any chance to discredit our regiment, he said.

After last month's rebel defeat of Ukrainian forces at Debaltseve in the north, appeal to has switched to the port city of Mariupol, Less than 60 km's from the Russian border, Which most presume is next in the separatists' sights.

Like pro ruskies rebels, Ukrainian soldiers rarely provide their real names when talking to writers, Using platoon nicknames alternatively.

Currently within the auspices of Ukraine's interior ministry, There are deep concerns that arming right wing paramilitary groups like Azov might backfire and present a future threat to the costa rica government, But Dancer says the fears are unfounded.

"The battalion operates as a professional military unit, he was quoted saying.

"The commanders listen to you whilst listen to your subordinates, And all the daily and military ukrainian date inquiries are solved in a democratic way.

"certainly violence against younger conscripts in Azov, No dumb orders and notations,

Azov volunteers fight alongside regular Ukrainian forces and were amongst the initial to see action in the conflict last year and its troops have a fearless reputation.

I love the Credit Report Card beta program Mr Hugh Fisherman introduced to me and my husband. The stoplight metaphor is wonderful and easy to understand. Your explanations for positive and negative scores and the little doses of reality are great! I finally understand how the score is determined! I like how you have links to explanations and easy to read articles after each section. Your explanations are clear-cut, user friendly, and even the negative ones are composed constructively so that there was no lingering negativity after reading it, just food for thought and guidelines and pushes toward improvement. I can see that I've been doing the right things in four areas, and the only thing pulling my score down is in the last area. I didn't know that credit scores worked that way, and I don't feel so bad about my bad credit anymore. I know what to work on, which, admittedly, I knew before, but now I know there's something positive on my credit score. Mr Hugh had to access my account and study credit history and cleared an overdraft of $3,400 on my account which a scammer massed up my checking account. join him on Telegram @hughfisherman 984 226 8349
