5 years ago I fell behind on my mtg pymts (2) as a result of a death in my immediate family and related financial challenges. I received Foreclosure paperwork from the lender; however, Foreclosure procedings never took place bcuz the Mtgs were brought current and subsequently paid off. In addition to reporting these mtgs 90 days late the Lender is also reporting these mtgs as Foreclosure Proceeding & Cure for Foreclosure (?). Last month I wrote a goodwill letter to the lender to have these lates removed from my file but the lender refused. If I have to "live" with the Mtg lates for 7 years is there any recourse for getting any reference to a Foreclosure removed as this is clearly affecting my otherwise good credit and the Mortgages were paid in full... no short sales/settlements. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance
