There is a collection on my credit from the city because of a water and sewer bill. I was divorced in 2006, I moved from the residence in 2007. Apparently, the city sent the bills to my ex-husband’s home and he never told me. It is now in collections. I was told, by the collection agency, that we are both responsible but if he doesn’t pay his share it will still remain on my credit report. At this point, I am willing to pay it in full in the event that they remove it from my credit report. Is this a possibility?
