I last paid in December 07 HSBC reported I paid in January 2008 then again in August 2008. Spoke to HSBC or capital one now the recovery dept said payment wasn't made by me that it was the company that purchased the account when it was charged off. Anyone experience this?
My balance always remained $1964 even with that supposed "payment". HSBC reported I made a payment. The recovery rep is mailing me the last statement dated August 26 2008. I actually have all my statements except that one. Weird. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions ?
Why is a payment showing when collection agency purchased
Contact with the bank and ask them about this matter. Show them the documents that you have. I hope they will take some steps to solve your problem.
