Thats what I thought. It really is dumb to use a phone number as verification but I see this often. Even at the auto parts store the first thing they ask for is your phone number. I see a few names on the screen and they always ask next for your name. and then click on it. Think it would be better done by the name system than the other way around. go figure.

They are two different animals all together, lifelock is a company that says that they will protect your identity and opt out is where you can go to the credit reporting agencies and have them quit sending you junk mail. Just go to optout.com

Exactly what I would have said GN. Sometimes I can see how people can ghet confused, there is just so much to learn when it comes to protecting your credit these days. I would def. advice the opt out. At least someone wouldn't get a hold of an app and start sending for cards in your name. I did it and think it was worth the effort.

well it is hard when some one is addressing two different subjects in one posts, that is where people get confused, they connect to very different subjects.

This is true. I think we probaly help it along cause noone ever stays on the same subject. sometimes a whole new post is started in an old one.

It should be that way, but as people are addressing one issue another one comes up.

Lifelock uses people's ignorance. Whatever they do, anyone can do for free. One of the owners had his idendity stolen, another has very questionable financial past.

I would not recommend to use this service.

Have you had personal use of this company? I was inquiring because they were on a talk show and they were really endorsing this company all the way.

No, I have not, but as far as I know everyone is allowed to put fraud alert on his/hers report for free.

If you google lifelock, i am sure, you'll find plenty of articles about founders and owners of lifelock and those articles mostly are not in their favor.

Thats quite common when you are new. I always forgot to sign in. I did google lifelock and doesn't seem like they are all they are cracked up to be.

I am working on my own version of credit repair, I am trying to keep all my bills paid on time and yeah, just got a new card tonight, yeah, I think that will really help.
