I think the best way to live happy is money. But for that we have to budget our money. Our budget want to become stable.
Because I suppose that money is backbone of our life. We should decided our yearly budget. We should setup our budget. That mean if we setup our budget we spend superior life.

Budgeting of money is more essential in our life. There is a 'saying' that man proposes nature disposes . Like that it happens in life that man proposes and without budget disposes . It means budget is very important for money . If you are a servant ,you must save 20 % for next planning which are unknown expenditure . If you are a businessman ,you must save 50 % for growing capital of business , 25 % for family unknown expenses and 25 % for accidental situation in business of 100% net profit for long term of life and it is called as budget of money. So you could be stable in any circumstances in life.

In your life their are hundreds of way to spend money. But peroration of incoming way are limited and so what you must have to budget your flow of incoming money first.
1- You have reserve 1/3 part of net income for you future planning which may be unknown to you.
2- You must reserve 1/3 part for fast plans which are not success-ed in your real life which may be occurd and remaining part for real life by this way you budget your money
I think if you will try to budget your money shown way, you would be free for money
I thing there are 90% problems are created by money in our life so it is important that we budget our money.

I just read all 6 pages of this thread. lol Actually there are alot of people who use the envelope method for budgeting. Personally it doesnt work for us. We always have to spend it, not to mention we dont trust $$ in our home due to the area we live in. our house has already been broke into once right after christmas.

There is a program called YNAB "You need a budget" that uses the envelope method digitally, I think? I KNOW that "mvelops" does. You basically just allocate "digital envelopes" for expenses/wants/etc & you allocate your entire check(s) into each envelope. It has some really cool features. I think there are fees associated with both though.

But hey! They might work for those of you who like the envelopes for certain things; especially you Lorri! It worked when you were a teenager. Maybe you'd like it!?

margaret, i do agree with you... proper planning can help with budgeting the right way & avoiding unnecessary purchases really does help-obviously! lol but the problem alot of people run into when budgeting are the "unexpected" occurences- car breaks down, water heater goes out, furnace, roof, etc.

of course, the best plan of action for that would be to SAVE for those emergencies/unexpected things. But at the same time, not many people have the extra money each check to save OR they don't have any income at all. then, how do u dig urself out of that kind of hole? when the economy picks back up, hopefully more jobs will available & people can begin to get back on their feet. i sure hope i can...

archie, what works for one person doesn't always work for the next. alot of the users on creditmagic like the paper method, some like using envelopes, some like using spreadsheets, and some like using programs.

it's not a matter of time spent budgeting. the way i see it, if you SPEND the TIME checking out your finances and going over your budget, the more likely you are to follow through with your budgeting.

im sure moneystrands is great, sounds alot like quicken. thats what we use: quicken
