Hi all, Smile
I am new here. A little information needed.

My previous creditor sold the account to a ca. Now will this again remain on my cr for another 7 years?

Smile thanks

Hi Newman,

Welcome to our community Smile

I think the answer is no. It will stay but the date of first delinquency (DOFD) does not change. Therefore it wont start with the span of 7 years again, but continue.

Oh. great. So now if it keeps changing hands...like form one ca to another still the span remains 7 years from the DOFD. Smile

Thanks LAura.

Yes the span remains 7 years but you have to keep in mind the statute of limitation. If the SOL is over then no one can force you to repay the debt. It solely depends on whether you want to or can pay it back or not.

Thanks
