Dispute letter to Experian

Hi,

I had mailed a dispute letter to Experian which I sent by certified mail and got the results as expected. But I've been waiting on another dispute and I happened to notice on this result letter that it says at the very bottom "Visit Experian.com/status to check the status of your pending disputes at any time". Though this is a standard TEXT on all Experian reports and not directly stated to me but I was curious.

If I check the status online will I lose my 30 day enforcement rule with the certified mailing ?

Hi Nitza,

If I check the status online will I lose my 30 day enforcement rule with the certified mailing ?

No, because FCRA 611(a) requires the response within 30/45 days of the date of your dispute. It does not depend on the date of an offered status check.

I think you should wait for a few more days before you get a response on the second dispute.

Thanks,

Aaron
