I have a Verizon baddie on my credit reports. I'm assuming its for the boxes I returned that they never recieved after I moved I don't know and they can't explain what its for either when I call them??? Everytime I conact Verizon or dispute it, they report me as late and my score drops. I've left them alone and they haven't reported me late since Jan 2016
When I applied for credit cards I was denied because of this derogatory account.
Here is what I've tried so far in 2015:
1. Disputed the account came back verified by EQ and EX. TU deleted it.
2. sent Verizon CEO a letter requested a statement. They responded saying i owe the $$$ but with no statement attached.
3. Complained to BBB and they just verified again.
4. Called Verizon customer service to request the statement. They cannot send me a statement but they can tell me the amount I owe.
I just want this off my reports. If I send a PFD, do I run the risk of Verizon giving me another late mark on my credit report? Do you recommend I just pay it then send a gW letter?

The amount is for $1400.00
the problem is I need to apply for a mortgage in about 6 months and I know the mortgage company is going to say this needs to be paid.
Im really stuck and not sure what to do??

Verizon got me for a new phone plus the cost of the phone I had sent back to have repaired. Said they never received the package. Funny I always get there bills.
