Be informed.

There are several factors that affect your credit score. Among them, the most important are the charged off delinquent accounts, bankruptcies and judgment. Another factor is the hard inquiry listing which also reduces your credit score because more and more hard inquiry in your report suggest that you are credit hungry which gives a negative image to your credit report and therefore to your credit score.

The two most important factor that affects your score is your credit history and the debt to credit ratio. Even if your credit history is good, your score can be affected if your debt to credit ratio is high. Moreover, length of the credit history and the types of credit used are also important factors that affect your credit score.
