I am now on fixed income, my mortage on our mobile home is makeing it very difficult, interest is at 11% is there any hope of getting Vanderbiult Mortage to lower it so it would lower payment?

Hi Hicksdon,

You can request Vanderbilt Mortgage to modify the mortgage loan. There are various factors, that can be modified. The modification is done according to the individual's situation. The interest rate can be lowered, the amount of monthly payment may get lowered too. Other than this, the term of the loan can be modified, and even the length of time for which an adjustable rate is fixed can be changed too.

But make sure that you don't miss any payment, because once you miss, the company will not agree to any negotiation with you. For more details you can visit their website.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Aaron.

Thank you very much. I have a fixed mortgage, so is it fairly common for them to lower it after 10yrs.? I ask once and they never called me back.
