I have filed for chapter 7 and my hearing is within a week. I did not remember I had given my car loan bank an approval to deduct my payment for this month automatically. I was wondering will I be able to get my money back from them? I had that money to pay my rent.

Yea, I seriously doubt it. You need to call the bank and ask them, but I'd be SO surprised if they did. Sorry :(

Not that I work in a bank or anything....just my opinion.

Hi Concerned,

Can you tell whether or not the money was taken out before filing the bankruptcy or after the filing? Moreover, you are required to let your creditors and lenders know that you have filed for bankruptcy. In addition only if the lender has been included in the bankruptcy, he may stop collecting from you.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Aaron
