How to delete original debt holder along with CA?

I just pulled my credit report and had a question regarding deletion from the CA. I see that the CA has purchased the debt. Obviously I have to deal with the current CA debt owner in order to delete it. But what about the original debt holder? How do we delete the original debt holder? I have two negative items for the same debt.

Hi gxb,

Welcome to this community :)

The negative entered by the original creditor can be removed only by the original creditor himself. However, only if you make payments to the original creditor, he may agree to remove the negatives. But this debt is now with the collection agency and so you will have to deal with the collection agency. You an request the collection agency to remove the negative entered by them in lieu of payment.

Refer to the "Pay for delete" (PFD) letter from http://www.creditmagic.org/repair/pay-for-delete.html . However, not all creditors and collection agencies agree to PFD.

However, the account balance reported by the original creditor should be zero. The negatives entered by him will remain on your credit report for 7 years from the date of reporting.

Thanks,

Aaron

Hi gxb,

Welcome to creditmagic,

If you could send an email/letter to both CA as well as OC stating the whole scenario and willingness to pay the money to CA then there is some hope that you could be able get out of this fiasco.

Thanks
Manoj

Hi ensurepune,

But still it won't be possible to remove the negatives entered by the original creditor.
