I was wondering if there is a way to find out if my other debts has been cancelled. I had 4 credit cards, and I threw away all mail regarding these cards, and I had only received this 1099c thing because my dad got the mail, I do not know if my other debts has been cancelled, and I just do not want to get audited by the IRS, and I made all 4 credit cards 3-4 years ago when I was 18-19.
With 1099c the debt may well have been forgiven, but you need to pay the taxes to the IRS.
