RE: Abstract of Judgment placed on my father by attorneys representing LVNV Collection Agency
The lawyers placed the abstract of judgment against my father after he passed away. Now, the family is having to deal with it. The family paid a settlement amount over a year ago, and a release has yet to be granted by any firm or agency involved... and there are MANY! Phone call after phone call, promise after promise, denial of responsibility after denial...we can't seem to get ANYTHING done for us.
Anyone have a clue as to some magic I can pull out of hat to get this cleared up?
I do empathize how it feels when you get calls from one CA and another.. Did you pay the settlement amount to the same CA? What do they have to say regarding that payment?
We paid the settlement amount to the fifth company in the chain of companies that got involved with this affair. But, they have no authority to sign the release. We have to wait for the original CA to do that... and there is absolutely no way to contact them. We have to contact the CA that agreed to settle, who contacts their attorneys (not even the firm that file the AoJ) who has to contact LVNV CA... it's such a racket!!!!!!
