wrong person, same name

I am wondering how to handle a debit collection agency that keeps calling. They have my name and number, but it is not my debit. I don't owe anyone and have checked my credit report. It seems like they just pulled names out of the directory that matched.
I also have a disabled son who has to sleep often during the day, so I need the unnecessary phone calls to stop disturbing him. They are now calling 4-5 times a day even though I have explained that they have the wrong person. I have also asked them to take me to court so that this will stop. Of course, they won't and just keep calling.

They are probably violating the FTC norms in this regard. The natural way is to ask them to get your debt validated. Once they fail to do it, you can them send a Cease and Desist letter and ask them to stop calling you. I'm sure they'll understand your intentions and stop harassing you.
