I cosigned for an apartment lease back in 2003 and defaulted on it. I received a judgement against me for about $850. I moved to a different state and in 2009 the company sued me again for the 2003 lease and won another judgement for $1,800. Can I legally be sued twice?

No, I don't think the same company can file it twice. But once they obtain a judgment, they may sell it to another collection agency, who in turn may file again.

SOL may vary from one state to another.
