What type of account is it? What is the statute of limitations in your state? Have you validated the debt to make sure that you owe the amount that you are going to pay? You will want to check into all of this before forking out your money. goodluck.

Better to have all the information going into it, I have found that out the hard way, collectors will often try to be intimidating and it works on the uninformed consumer. The consumer who choses to educate themselves on the debt collection practice law will not be intimidated and will come out with better circumstances and agreements. Please post more detail so that we can try to help you before you contact this collector.

In mind or body. Sometimes I here but I'm not really here and other time I don't even know where I'm at. Somedays I feel like spinning around like Happy Gilmore and saying "I'm in my happy place;I'm in my happy place" There are no bills or collectors there.

Is this company moving around or just expanding its business? Sometimes you will find debt collecting companies pulling stakes and moving to another area. Thanks for the information.

hi!
Inside tips, Never trust any collection agency, Anyone can make up a dummy company and send you a bill, You should demand a copy of the orininal bill before even thinking about paying any monies out. Basicly No bill No monies! With out the orignal billing they CAN'T take you to court!
They have to prove there is a REAL debt.
Worst case send the letter to the United States Post Master General, It's
called theift via the US Mail, Remember the company claiming you owe money has to prove it!
That's the facts...

WELL ADD ME TO THE LIST. I JUST GOT A CALL TODAY. LEFT THAT WONDER AUTOMATED MESSAGE. IF YOU ACCEPT THIS CALL THEN YOU MUST BE BLAH BLAH BLAH. SOUNDS VERY INTIMIDATING. ANYWAY, I FIRST CAME TO THIS SITE AND APPRECIATE ALL THE OPINIONS AND ADVICE YOU HAVE GIVEN ONE ANOTHER. I PLAN ON MAKING SOME PHONE CALLS ON TUESDAY AND WILL REQUEST THEY MAIL ME A COPY OF THE BILL WHICH I WILL THEN VERIFY. WISH ME LUCK. I HAVE HAD SOME HOSPITAL STAYS, SO I NEED TO CONFIRM WHAT IS GOING ON.

If they get toooo out of hand, you may have to give them a lesson in debt collecting. Here in Pennsylvania on the attorney generals site there is a consumer complaint form for debt collection. It takes about 7 working days and they will call the debt collector up and educate them on what is collection and what is down right harrassment.

See if your attorney generals office has this option and use it if you need too, that is what they are there for, use them.

Instead of everyone trying to get out of paying your bills why not take care of them before they get to the collection agencies. Most medical providers will accept small payments and not send accounts to agencies. If it's a credit card, you know if you had one and didn't pay it or not. It amazes me how much effort people put into not paying their bills when most of them are valid debts. Sure lets put it on the government to stall paying your debts. We all love to pay taxes, lets put some more people on the government payroll to baby all you poor innocent people. I'm sure you didn't do anything to bring this on yourselves.

Hello Dr Don,

I think you are mistaken. This is not a collection agency site. This is rather a site that helps people to solve their credit and debt problems.

You can send a cease and desist letter to the company or agency calling you, asking them to stop harassing you. You will get a sample cease and desist letter with this community.

Thanks,

Aaron
