This is a good question... and has been answered several times by various good people in here...

cc consolidation does effect you score.. How much or how little depends on the person...

The best way to reduce debt quicky is to first STOP aquiring it!!

Second, put all accounts down on paper..

Then what I have done is made sure I paid the min. on each card.

Then I took the card with the lowest balance (some say the lowest % on the card and others will say the highest). For me, I use the lowest balance. Cause I can pay that off quicker and have a accomplishment feeling once its paid off.

Anyway, you are paying the min. on the lowest card and putting any extra money you have towards its balance.

Once that is card is paid, than you apply its former min. towards the next card that has the lowest balance. And you apply any extra money towards it..

Continue on thru to last card..

Again, the trick is NOT TO put anymore debt on the cards... while paying them off..

This is called the snowball affect.

Hope this helps!!
