I have a 1550.00 balance on Macy's @ 24.9% and a 2900.00 balance on Lowe's at 21%.

I would like to transfer those balances to a LOWER rate card. Is that possible? Can anyone suggest IF and HOW I can possibly do this? Even for 6 months because I could have it paid off in 6 months, just not right now???

I would like to close out those two cards.

MANY THANKS!!!

Anything is possible. But would you qualify
for the lower interest rate credit card is
the question. It will take from 2 - 3 months
to even set up, IF qualified.

How much history do you have on those
two cards? If history is long, I would pay
off in six months, and let them remain open
for credit scores purposes. You know your
situation best.

Go to your Bank or Credit Union that you do your banking with and request a card through them or a line of credit at the lowest rate that you qualify for. Quite often, companies will give you special balance transfer rates when you open an account or request them. Do not close the previous accounts unless absolutely necessary ! (After doing the transfer)Simply contact the companies and request for a lower rate. If you have been a customer of theirs for awhile and have always made your payments on time they should help you out.
