Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Sat, 11/19/2011 - 14:43

I recently found out that chase collected on chargeoff account that was already paid in 2008 . I paid it at wamu and had account with them for almost two yrs after until 2009 and that account fell into a negitive balance because of lost of empolyment. so they sent me collections notices for one account and when i opened an account with chase they took the amount for the account that already paid and had never notified me. I was always wondering why they took so much and continuing to ask for more money.

I want to know what the current information is for responding to a summons for civil court regarding credit card debt. My identity was stolen, and this company wouldn't listen to what I was telling them. Chase collections, and finally sold my account or information to some other company, and they sold it to another place. Actually, the account or debt was sold to 3 different places before the last one (MSW Capital) decided to file for civil action. Evidently this company filed or tried to file in Aug but never got the summons to me.

I live in MA, and had my wages garnished for 6 months. I received a letter stating that if my employer or the creditor did not reply to some form the garnishment would be dismissed. After a month the garnishments stopped. It's been 6 months without a garnishment. Can garnishments start stop and start again?

On the advice of my bankruptcy atty (in Michigan), I sent my keys and a registered letter to Bank of America about a year ago. I have spoken to reps at BofA many times since. Now BofA is saying I have to hire a realtor and arrange a short-sale. I called the attorney, who first said "nonsense", then said well, maybe I could be held responsible for this and a host of other things like "vacant home" insurance, damage to the home, etc. I get $1500/ mo in Social Security, which barely covers my expenses, and I'm terrified! Is this true? Is the attorney at fault? Where do I turn now?.

I'm hoping that someone can help me. A couple years ago my CIBC checking account got closed. Upon Closure the manager called me and had me come down to the office to sign for a check. Baiscally the check was for some NSF fees that had been reversed thus putting my account into a positive balance. I signed for the check and went on my merry way.

At first, you need to talk with the branch manager of Citifinancial from which you have taken the car loan. If the branch manager gives you the permission to switch to another branch of citifinancial, then you can deal with another citifinancial branch in your area. You can know the process of transferring the account to another branch from the manager and follow the steps.
