Subject: credit card debt

I have just received a copy of a lawsuit, filed by a CA attempting to collect on unpaid credit card account. Is it too late for me to ask for a debt validation letter.

Legally, it is too late for you to ask for validation. But I think you can still do it, since they have been sending all the intimations to your old address. I don't think they can take any action against you since a debtor has a right to validate the debt.

So, the 30 days period is over for you to respond. I'm not sure if it's an arbitration award against you. Still, if you feel like responding you may send a letter via certified mail. Also keep us informed!
