Okay Wendy,

It seems you seriously need advice. Ii will try to solve your problem but make sure you actually try to fix your score and start it immediately.

*Correct all the wrong details that are there on your credit report by disputing them. Review your reports from all the three credit bureaus atleast twice a year, but you can do it once also because you get a free credit report annually from the three bureaus.

    *Make your payments on time.

*Try to keep your credit card balances as low as 25%. This definitely helps to improve your credit score.

*Closing an account and transferring the balance to another existing card would lower your score again, so pay off the debt rather than rolling it to one account.

I hope these will be of some help to you.

Well.I recieved my credit report ( a few months ago), and I did 'dispute' some things and DID get somethings deleted. I had recieved a loan, from a company called Cash Call ( anyone heard of it? ). The % rate is EXTREMELY high..almost %99!! Of course, I just keep up with the payments. Now...my question is, if Cah Call is illegal ( with the high %), why is THIS company on my credit nad other PDL's are not?/ I don't think they can ( legally) make me pay back DOUBLE of what the loan was, can they??

Regrettably, CashCall is NOT a PDL. The loans are LEGAL loansharking. Many people have seen the cheesy Gary Coleman commercials. If you do the math, you'll find you're probably going to pay MORE than double the original loan--probably closer to triple.

Make this a priority to pay off; find out if you need to send overpayments to another address...many installment loans have provisions where an overpayment simply reduces the next month's bill without affecting the actual principal amount.

Cash Call is a payday loan company. Did you check their ripoff reports? They have created massive problems in people's lives. Hope you do not have to survive the losses. Why do you have to go for a loan with a 99% interest?

If there is a written agreement to your loan then I think you have to pay it.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM PAYDAY LOANS

The time taken always depends on what you are disputing. The investigation though has to be done within 30days of the filing of a dispute.

I would go for a certified mail because that lets me keep all the communication copies with me that might also serve the legal purpose if needed.

Hello sdchargers_63,

Going back to your original question, there is a bunch of things that you can do to improve your credit score. Besides disputing and deleting errors on your report, it also a good idea to consolidate your credit card loans, if you have debt that you're not able to handle. Also, try to cut down your costs and put more towards your debts. The sooner you pay them off, the better! Write down all your loans, your payments, your APRs. It will help you see your debt in plain numebers and understand what you are facing.

Good luck! Very Happy

1) 1-888-5-OPT-OUT

2) donotcall.gov

3) do not give out your phone number for any kind of marketing purpose...websites, "win this car", etc...

Well........I'm thankful to say I don't deal with Cash Call anymore. I found out, sometime ago, that they 'sold' my loan to a CA. SOOOO......I made payment arrangements, with this CA for the amount I ORIGINALLY barrowed....not for all of that %. The CA is great at working with me, on this. The CA even says that the 5 rate, that Cash Call has is " illegal". ( Imagine that..LOL)
