Hello all,

We are new to this and have started to try rebuilding our credit after a LOT of medical bills and a few other things, plus me (mrs.) being out of work on and off for 7 years now, due to surgeries and health problems. Hence the medical bills. We are looking for some good support and people that understand what we have been though. Any ideas, websites, etc is helpful. Our goal is to be able to purchase land and a home by next May after our son graduates high school.

Thank you in advance. javascript:emoticon(':)')

I was laid off 2 years ago and I am still struggling to find something FT and perm. I am worried that the unfortunate events of my past are now haunting me on my report. Is there a way to legally have these removed, so I can somehow get a job again? I am so distraught right now, I can't see straight!

I am a single Mom with two small kids. I have been out of work for 18 months and have exhausted all our savings, 401K, etc. My mortgage is 3 months behind and Citi is not budging on a modification. I am trying to decide if bankruptcy is a good alternative since I am out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated. Nancy

Credit Card debt

My mother is elderly and the only thing she possesses is an automobile that my father purchased prior to his death. She draws a meagar SS income and she had several credit cards that she could no longer pay. She recieved a letter brought to her in person which practically scared her to death. He simply asked her name and said I have a letter for you. My question is I know they cannot garnish her social security but is there any thing else they may do. Place a lein on her vehicle maybe?
Thanks
