Pay Day loan in NJ

I have 8 payday loans out and located in the state of NJ. I've been doing a lot of research on this site and others. It says that payday loans are illegal in the state of NJ. I am all about paying money that is owed, but wanted to know if someone new the details of the NJ laws especially the whole 30% max interest charge and what my options were. I was thinking of closing my account tomorrow and contacting all the pay day loan companies to work out a payment plan. Most of them have received their total amount originally borrowed through the biweekly bank debits. I also will be receiving a decent size check at the beginning of October that I could pay off all of them, but just can continue to pay the obscene interest fees. I also thought about contacting a few payday loan debt management companies including relief llc. Any input or help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums!!!
It’s true that payday lending is prohibited in NJ. You owe principal only. No need to pay them an extra dime other than the principal. Close down your bank account immediately and open a new one. Ask them for a refund, if you have overpaid them.
