What rewards CC do you guys use. Which are you favorites.
My favorite is PenFed Cash Rewards Platinum Visa.

Mind sharing?

I like to use the cash back coupons, if I spend $100 in six months I get a $20 or 30% off coupon mailed to me. Funny thing is that I have been getting fashion bug coupons popping out of the cash register at the grocery store that I use.

If you had paid those $100 by rewards credit card, you would have received 2-3% back in addition to couponwhich is another $2-3. Think about it.

I think that the best reward cards are the cash back credit cards. Most of these cash back credit cards offer upto 5% cash back on retail purchases and so you save money. Moreover, most of these cards come with low APR of 10% and no annual fees. Some of these cards also offer zero APR on balance transfer for a period of 12 months. However, for availing these cash back credit cards, you need to have either a good or an excellent credit score.

I agree that cash back cards are the best. For insrance:
Discover More: 5% cash back on groceries, movies and restaurants (capped)
Chase Freedom: 3% cash back on 6 top spendings categories like gas, groceries, gym, cell phone, internet etc.
PenFed (my favorite) 5% on gas, 2% on groceries and 1.25% everything else.
Regarding BT and APR YMMV.
PenFed's APR is 13.99, BT is 5.99% no fees
Discover offered me BT at 1.99%, but 4% BT fee.
My Chase is currently at 14.99% and I have 2 BT offers . The first is 0% for 6 mos and the second is at 3.99% for life of balance, both 3% fee, uncapped.

I have not looked into all the details, it is a small retail credit card. I just want it to start and build some credit up.

Once you have that card GN you will get coupons out the yinger. I actually throw them away from time to time. It is a way to lure you in. The only time I keep a hod of one of the coupons is if I am planning on going in to make my payment or I have the ehads up on an upcoming sale.
I have a discover but I never seen any cash back awards. We got an offer in the mail recently oin the form of a check that if you cashed it you would be signed up for the rewards program nut the yearly fee was like $70 and we don't use it that much to pay the amount asked.

I have one that works with our local grocery store, it just gives gas perks, but you can put your groceries and your perscriptions on it. Around the holidays the gift cards are double fuel perks so that is nice.

I wish Wal mart would offer this type of thing. Gosh htye get at least one third of the paycheck every two weeks plus perscriptions. Gas prices have been steadily coming down and I can tell the difference in the budget. Doesn't take so much money to fill the tank and with what you save its enough for a burger off the dollar menu.

How does that syatem work GN? I get mine at walmart but I can get them through the mail. They send you three month supplies at a time. We have no co pay now on generic drugs so I usually don't bother with the mail system plus some of my non generic drugs can cost up to $25 and I don't have $75 dollars to lay out at one time. Employers push us to do it because it gives them a break but hey times are rough and thats an awful lot at one time.

I just have the doctor call the prescriptions into giant eagle, you can get a 90 day supply for $10 on some of them.

I think that walmart and giant eagle can only get better with their prices, they are big enough to buy bulk and pass on the savings to the consumers.
