Hello,

I opened an autoloan in 1996. I then fell on bad times and had to file a chapter 13 bankruptcy in 1998. At the end of the bankruptcy there was existing money owed on the auto due to a trustee mixup, so the bankruptcy was dismissed. At that point i was not ready to pay another dime on the auto, and told the creditor i would surrender it. They have not picked up they vehicle to this day, there is no response from the creditor via mail or phone. I dont know what the statute of limitations are in Washington state, and i dont know what to do with the vehicle. Can i get the title for it? If so, how do i go about that? I tried to give the car back years ago and they never took it. The loan is no longer on my credit report, and the last contact i had with the creditor was in 2003. HELP
