To wait or not to wait?

I have a bill from Voicestream (formerly T-Mobile) for $700. According to Equifax, it is supposed to come of in August of this year. Would it be beneficial to me to pay a settlement of the amount or just wait until August? I do not want to pay the full amount because I do not agree with the charges.

Also I have paid off everything on my credit report and it shows that it has been paid but whenever I apply for credit somewhere, I can't get approved. Is there any way to remove the other stuff from my credit report? After all they have been paid already.

Also I just received a voice mail message from Allied Interstate to call them back. this is how I found this website. From what I have read, I am not calling these people back.

Allied Interstate calls people endlessly without any details of the debts and show rudeness. The company is also famous for false representation of the accounts. They will try to force you to pay some unknown account because of their wrong contact.

If they try to contact again use federal laws as a protection against such shady collection activities. Report them to the FTC, BBB as well as the State Attorney General office.
