Subject: What can I do about my auto contract being changed?
Wed Apr 11, 2007 8:10 pm
Predatory auto lenders, My auto contract was changed without my consent and knowledge. I did'nt find out about it until Capital One called and
welcomed me to their family. I was then told they had bought my loan and my note was much more than I had signed for.
How old the debt is? You must send them written request for validation. Also ask them how they calculated the interest on it. Debt buyers purchase debts for less than penny on dollars. You can negotiate with them for a lower amount. However, check SOL of your state first of all. Which state are you from? _________________ Stan
BTW, I am not a lawyer, I am here to share what Life has taught me.
Do you have a copy of the contract? I thought auto loans were basically fixed (as opposed to a credit card, where terms are a little different--open account vs. written contract). _________________ I don't dream since I quit sleeping
Your personal details (name, email address and phone number) will be delivered to the company advertised on the Creditmagic after ve agreed to go for the counseling session by filling out the no-obligation form. However, it is your discretion to accept or reject their services.
Not all the creditors/debt collectors agree to trim down the outstanding balances, interests, and fees payable by the consumer.
Consumers working with the debt relief companies can still be sued by the creditors/collection agencies.
Debt relief services may have a diminishing effect on the creditworthiness of the consumer. The total outstanding balance may increase as the additional fees get accrued.
The overall amount saved by the consumer through the debt relief services is considered as taxable income by the IRS.
