The law says that you are entitled to a free copy of your report once every 12 months from each of the three credit reporting agencies. You can order your free report online at http://www.annualcreditreport.com. Make sure you don’t confuse it with similarly named websites that may try to trick you into signing up for a paid membership program.

Yep......I found out, the hard way, if you go to Free Credit Report. (com), you will end up paying for your CR. Even if you go to Annual Credit Report. (com), I don't know if you actually have to pay to get your Credit Score, or not.
Around here we may consider it this old news but other places people really do not know this information. I have talked to different people in the line at the grocery store or Wal mart who were facing tough times and I always suggest they go look at their credit reports to see what all is listed. Most of them do not know something like this even exists.
