i have a question regarding two charge offs. they were about four years ago when i was in college. one for $35, and one for $300. at the time, when the collection agency was calling constantly i decided to simply pay and stop the calls and did not know a pay for delete was an option. so now what shows up on my credit report is a closed account, but still shows a charge off. is there a way to speak with the collection agency that was handling the account at the time and have it removed from my credit report even after the debt has been settled?
