it's on my credit report and I don't know what it is

MCYDSNB in your credit report refers to Macy's Departmental store National Bank. This means that you have a departmental store card from Macy's from where you made payments and failed to repay back the debt. That is the reason why it is showing in your credit report. You can call Macy at the number 1-866-593-2543 and verify with them.

Before making any payment on the credit card debt with Macy, send a DV letter by certified mail to check whether you actually owe the debt or not. If you owe the debt, then only proceed forward for repayment of the debt. However, you should try to make the creditor agree to pay for deletion agreement before paying it off.

I'm usually weary of going somewhere about my credit since I'm young and ill-informed but I got recommended here by a good friend.
