Medical Bills On Credit Report

I have some medical bills on my credit report, and I had medicare and also medicaid. I have founds financial assistance programs that the hospital I attended had but failed to offer to me at the time the bill was created. If these assistance services were offered it would have either eliminated the medical debt or gave a substantial discount price of the debt, and more than likely not would have made a negative mark on my credit report.
My question is if I submit a letter stating this can the hospital provide me with this financial assistance and/or credit and redo the bill? And if the bill ends up with a $0.00 balance be removed from my credit report? The name of the hospital program is Charity Care and at the time and even now I qualified for that program but was not offered any information on it. I was doing a little research and found out about the programs and asked the hospital how long ago did this program start and they verified that it had started many years before my medical debt was made and never have stopped till this day. - Lisa M

It would be better for you to contact with the hospital authority in this regard and ask them whether or not you will get that offer.
